All creative works published under Penielic are original works by Ms. Peniel Chukwuogo (the “Author” or “Copyright Holder”) or by approved collaborators, and we expect our visitors, readers, users, and collaborators to respect copyright law. Copyright Ownership

All content published on our platform, including but not limited to novels, stories, characters, cover art, website text, worldbuilding elements, merchandise designs, audiobooks, devotionals, and any other materials related to the creation of fiction stories published by us, is owned by the Author. Penielic is the publishing platform and brand name through which these copyrighted works are shared.

For collaborative works and co-authored materials: Copyright ownership will be shared or determined by written agreement between the collaborating parties prior to publication.

Protected Content

The following types of content are protected by copyright:

Novels and stories (full-length and excerpts)
Characters, character descriptions, character development, and plots
Book covers, cover art, artwork, illustrations, promotional graphics, and visual designs
Website text, articles, blog posts, and marketing materials
Worldbuilding elements, settings, and fictional universes
Merchandise designs and related artwork
Audiobook recordings and narrations and other audio/visual adaptations
Devotional content and books
Any other creative materials related to storytelling and fiction creation

All derivative works, translations, and adaptations of the above content are also protected by copyright and remain the property of the Copyright Holder unless rights are formally transferred.

Permitted Uses (Fair Use)

We recognize and respect the doctrine of fair use as outlined in copyright law. Limited use of copyrighted material without permission may be permitted for purposes such as:

Penielic accepts collaborations and co-authorship opportunities for Christian fiction that align with the purpose and values of our platform.

Submission Requirements:

All submitted or collaborative works must be Christian fiction
Content must align with the overall mission and values of Penielic
Copyright ownership for collaborative works will be established through a written agreement prior to publication
Submitted works must be original and not infringe upon any third-party copyrights
The ghostwriting services we offer are governed by separate contracts and agreements, which explicitly outline ownership rights
Penielic does not currently accept unsolicited manuscripts, except through agreed collaborations.

Our Response to Infringement Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

Investigate the claim
Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, if appropriate
Notify the user who posted the content, if applicable
Take reasonable steps to comply with applicable copyright law
Document the infringement claim for our records

The decision to remove content from the website rests solely with us after reviewing the claim and any relevant evidence.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent. Your counter-notification must include:

Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
